Adult religious
education and faith development encompasses any planned experience, program or
process by which adults are enabled to come to a new or deeper understanding
and appreciation of their relationship to God and God's people from the
perspective of the Catholic Church. Such experiences include educational
opportunities, service projects, and worship in small or large group settings.
Topics for study include the full spectrum of religious life from Church
teachings and Scripture study to family and community issues. Adult faith
development often takes place in small church communities. These groups meet in
homes to pray together, connect the ordinary events of their lives with their
faith, learn more about their faith, and reach out to others in service. For
additional information contact a member of the Parish Council.
