Troop 918 goes on many campouts, especially during the summer. Most of our campouts only last a weekend; however, some trips lasts weeks. These campouts provide the boy scouts with an opportunity to learn new skills and have fun. Here are a few that do. |

High Adventure- Year 2000, the boy scouts did 2 trips. The first was the Boundary Waters. This trip consists of canoeing & hiking along the Canadian Borders. The second trip was to civil war battlefields. |

![]() This trip took Troop 918 to Poplar Bluff for a10 mile hike on Trail of Tears, Camping in Arkansas and Oklahoma, and learning about the life and hardships of Native American Cherokee Indians. |

Philmont- This is the largest ranch owned by the Boy Scouts. It is located in New Mexico. Summer Camp- Boy Scouts collect 60% of their merit badges here. At this camp, the Order of the Arrow ceremony takes place and nominated Scouts are "called out." |
