Congratulations Pack 918!!!
Our pack has been awarded one of the three Chaplain Awards that
were presented at the Cathedral during Scout Sunday on
February 5th. Pack 918 won
the Chaplain's Award of Merit. This speaks volumes
to how well our Pack performed in 2011 and we should all be very
proud of our boys and our leaders. Our Pack's "biography for
the award" was read aloud and was printed in the program
for the ceremony at the Cathedral.
We have also been awarded the National Catholic Quality Unit Award -
Pope Paul VI again this year. This might
seem a bit trivial compared to the Chaplain's award but still a
nice achievement. This was also listed in the program at the
Scout Sunday ceremonies at the Cathedral. Congrats to all and
thanks for everyone's hard work.
Please also congratula
te Roger Melton in earning the Bronze Pelican award!
This is a huge honor/accomplishment for Roger. His
award was presented at our Parish Scout Sunday Mass (ceremony
followed Mass) March 25. Well done Roger!
Congrats to everyone involved with our
Pack!!

Calendar
The Adventure Starts Now!
The adventure starts with Cub Scouting, a year-round family
program designed for boys in the 1st through 5th grades, or seven
to 10 years of age. A boy may join at any level. Each
noncompetitive level has activities to develop the boy at that
level.
The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the
community, family understanding, character development, citizenship
training, and personal fitness.
Young boys grow up fast. Give your son a valuable gift by
encouraging him to join Cub Scouting today. The time you invest in
him today will make a difference in the person he becomes
tomorrow.
Our Mission
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young
people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by
instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Our Vision
The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in
America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader
who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
Our Motto
Do your best.
Our Duties
To God, To Country and To Others
Schedule
As First Graders the Tiger Cubs meet at least once a month for a
meeting and another as a "go out and see it" with their parents and
Den. From second to Fifth Grade the Cub Scouts meet monthly
(or more) with their Den, which includes the scouts and their
leader. Once a month all dens meet with parents as a Pack. The Pack
meetings are one Thursday a month at 7:00 p.m. in the St
Joseph School Cafeteria. Presently our Pack is strong
with about 85 Scouts.
